Monster Energy Ultra Golden Pineapple is very strange as there is only a very slight initial taste of pineapple and a very slight aftertaste of it too however when you are drinking it doesn’t taste like pineapple at all. When you are drinking it there is a taste, but it mainly is just the sweetness apart from that there isn’t really anything much else to it.
When you do get the pineapple taste whether it be initially or in the aftertaste it is quite nice although it is definitely a lot more artificial tasting meaning a lot of it can become a bit sickly which I don’t really like as I much prefer normal pineapple juice and it tastes a lot fresher.
I’m not even really sure who I would recommend this flavour too, this isn’t due to it not tasting very good it is more down to it doesn’t taste how it is meant to or how you would expect it to taste. Personally, I love pineapple juice and pineapple flavoured things, but this just doesn’t have what I like or would be looking for in a pineapple flavoured energy drink.
The way the can looks also just isn’t brilliant I understand why they have made it gold after calling the drink Ultra Golden Pineapple however pineapple being such a tropical fruit gives them so much opportunity to make a colourful exciting can but instead it’s just gold and not very appealing.
After trying this Monster I could have finished it but I never enjoyed it enough to finish it and I won’t be buying this flavour again as it is not worth it.
